‘The Other Middle East’ lecture by Richard Wilding

Through his photographs of two unique regions in the Middle East – Saudi Arabia and Iraqi Kurdistan, Gulan’s Creative Director Richard Wilding showed that the architecture, archaeology and costumes of these ancient cultures reveal more colour and diversity than the stereotypical media stories of sand, sheikhs and sectarianism.

Co-hosted by the Kensington Society with Gulan and the Mansoojat Foundation.

The talk was enthusiastically received by a capacity audience of over 100 people.
