Rally for Halabja Remembrance held in British Parliament

16th March 2016

Representatives of Gulan attended a remembrance event in the British Parliament to mark the 28th year commemoration of the chemical bombardment of Halabja, one of the most horrific crimes committed against humanity in the twentieth century.

The event was attended by Members of Parliament and the House of Lords, the diplomatic community, the Kurdish diaspora and representatives from media organisations.

Many attendees wore the commemorative ‘tulip’ badge designed in 2013 by Gulan’s Artistic Director Della Murad and Creative Director Richard Wilding. A book of commemoration was signed by attendees, to be taken to the Halabja memorial in Kurdistan.
